The modern technology uncovered an ancient mystery. These satellite images show big earthwork formations in Kazakhstan, which can be seen only from a high perspective. Some of the geometric figures are estimated to be around 8 thousand years old.
The earthwork were first discovered by the Kazakhstan national Dmitriy Dey. The economist and archaeology lover made the discovery via the “Google Earth” service back in 2007. He says that the authorities are not very interested in protecting or investigating the earthworks even though some of the artefacts are around 6-10 thousand years old.
The geometric figures are mainly made of mounds and man-made hills, which were 2-3 meter high, but now they are only as high as 1 meter. The scientists were puzzled by the extraordinary, mysterious discovery and they are uncertain who exactly made the earthworks and why.
